Law Enforcement
The rear-view mirror, on duty.
You wouldn't drive without a rear-view mirror. Knowing what's happening around you is the difference between operating safely and operating blind — in any environment. HINDSIGHT brings that same standard to the officer. Built into the lens.
The blind spot you have accepted
Traffic stops. Crowds. The corner you can't see twice.
An officer who turns to check behind is an officer who is not watching the subject in front. The roadside on a stop. The crowd at a public-order incident. The hallway at a contact.
Every operational scenario asks both directions of an officer who is built for one.
A car has
Three mirrors. Centre, left, right.
Officer has had
None, built in. Until now.
HINDSIGHT
The rear-view mirror, built into the lens.
What the lens does for you
Officer safety, without the head-turn.
HINDSIGHT puts the approaching vehicle, the subject moving around your back, the partner closing — into the lens you already wear for tactical eyewear.
Forward focus stays on the contact. The information behind you surfaces in the same field of view.
Rear-view, built in
The lens is the mirror. The mirror is the lens.
The research
139 milliseconds faster.
Tested at Edinburgh Napier University.
Research conducted at Edinburgh Napier University measured how wearers respond to hazards approaching from behind, compared to the same wearers using conventional lenses.
Reaction time to a rear hazard was 139 milliseconds faster.

Questions
In plain language.
What does HINDSIGHT do for officers?
Forward and rearward vision, delivered through a single semi-transparent mirrored lens. The mirrored zone is engineered into the lens surface. Forward vision continues through it. Shift focus and the rear-view appears.
Is this a replacement for a mirror accessory?
HINDSIGHT removes the need for an accessory. The mirror is the lens. The lens is the mirror.
Does the rear view distort forward focus?
The Napier study recorded forward vision continuing through the mirrored zone while wearing the lens. The rearward image sits in the natural peripheral field, the way a wing mirror sits in a driver's.
Is there independent research?
Yes. Research conducted at Edinburgh Napier University measured 139 milliseconds faster reaction to rear hazards.
Does it have cameras or electronics?
No. HINDSIGHT is passive optics. No cameras. No batteries. No screens. The lens is the mirror.
Can I get prescription lenses?
Prescription availability depends on the certified partner product. Look for the HINDSIGHT certification on partner sites.
Is HINDSIGHT compatible with tactical eyewear?
HINDSIGHT lens technology can be carried by tactical eyewear partners. The current flagship Artemis and Morpheus frames are civilian-format. A purpose-built law enforcement frame is in active development with partners.
Will HINDSIGHT help on traffic stops?
Yes. Vehicles approaching from behind on the highway shoulder, the second subject in the passenger seat, the third party walking up — all surface in the lens without the officer turning.
Is HINDSIGHT visible to the subject?
The lens is a mirrored sunglass. The subject sees a sunglass. The officer sees forward and rearward through the same lens.
Can I verify for law enforcement pricing through GovX?
Yes. Verified law enforcement officers can verify via GovX for access to HINDSIGHT certified products.

Product status
Built for cycling and e-mobility. Coming to the officer.
The current HINDSIGHT product line — Artemis, Morpheus, and Night Lens — was engineered first for cycling and e-mobility, the disciplines with the cleanest data and the most direct safety case.
We are in active development with category partners to deliver eyewear purpose-built for the officer. The HINDSIGHT lens technology is the same. The frame is engineered around how you use it.
