As a physicist and passionate cyclist, Alex Macdonald faced the same challenges many cyclists endure daily—narrow escapes and close calls on busy roads. The lack of effective rear-vision solutions for cyclists led him to ask a simple yet profound question: if cars need mirrors to be safe, why don’t cyclists have the same?

As an Olympic Gold Medalist and World Champion Callum knows the value of awareness, both in sport and on the road. After his triumph at the 2016 Rio Olympics, when introduced to HindSight, he immediately recognized its potential to enhance performance and safety.
The Vision Behind HindSight
HindSight was born from a single moment—one too-close encounter with a vehicle in busy London traffic. Alex realized that the key to avoiding these dangers wasn’t just luck but knowledge: knowing what’s coming from behind. Whether it's an aggressive driver or a large bus, having this information allows cyclists to make informed decisions, stay ahead of danger, and ride with greater assurance.
When Alex explored existing solutions, none met the standard he needed—bulky, unsightly add-ons simply weren't enough. That’s when he envisioned a new solution: HindSight. With our innovative rear-vision technology, cyclists can maintain their forward focus while staying aware of their surroundings, all with a refined, minimalist design that speaks to our luxury ethos.
From Concept to Reality
After developing the first prototype, Alex turned to his close friend and cycling legend, Callum Skinner. Callum’s response was immediate: “Why don’t cyclists have this already?” He saw the potential not just for safety but for enhancing performance. HindSight’s patented lens technology helps cyclists maintain their aerodynamic profile by eliminating the need to turn and look back—critical for both safety and speed.
What began as a personal solution to a common problem has evolved into a revolutionary product. HindSight rear-vision cycling glasses are designed for cyclists who demand the best—no awkward attachments, no compromises—just seamless integration into your ride.
